Sirilak Sahana Sewa Foundation
Sirilak Sahana Sewa Service Foundation is an N.G.O. working at National level, active in the Kalutara District. It is a participatory community development based N.G.O.It was formed in 1991 in order to solve varied problems of the low-income groups / families. This organization was inaugurated by Rev. Waskaduwe Rathanasiri Thero with a membership of 120, and now has increased to 585. Currently about 7500 families and 1200 small groups are involved with the organization's activities.During the past 17 years it has implemented community programs sponsored by local goverment and NGO's.

Ven. Waskaduwe Rathanasiri Thero is the founding chairman of the "Sirilak Sahana Sewa Foundation" (SSSF) and still continues his services at the foundation for the last 17 years. He graduated at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and holds an Educational Diploma. He started his social service as a teacher in a government school and his dynamic leadership skills and work oriented commitment has made him a Principal of Kandawala college at Ratmalana, Sri Lanka. He became a Justice of the Peace (JP) for all island in 2004.
As a Buddhist monk, his kind and mercy towards the countries low-income groups & families drive him to establish the SSS foundation and now it has become a national level community development body in Sri Lanka.
